Alex is the son of Gene and Carissa Oxford of Luling, LA. Alex is also a participant in Mimosa Booster Club sports, including football and baseball.
He is a vibrant 8-year-old, full of life with a love for sports. In April of 2012, Alex was brought to the hospital and discharged with what “might be the flu.” His parents brought him for a second opinion where a battery of tests and blood work began. Alex had inflammation in the brain and spent a night in ICU but eventually returned home. After nearly a month of testing Alex was diagnosed with ALD (Adrenoleukodystrophy).
The Booster Club will be holding an Adult Dance at the Grand Ridge Country Club on Saturday, July 14, 8pm until midnight. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased from any booster club board member. Finger foods will be provided and a cash bar will be available.
